I originally set out to import an R34 Skyline, but after struggling to find one that both JDM Connect and I were happy with, we shifted focus to an R32—We found a 1989 R32 type M from Japan. What I didn’t expect was how complex the import process could become, especially with the added challenges around older vehicles. Even though it’s a late ‘80s car, there are still strict requirements, including asbestos compliance and testing, which can quickly turn into a stressful process if you’re not prepared.
